FAQ's

The following are some common questions we receive. If you have a question that is not on this list please don’t hesitate to contact us through a message on our “Contact Us” page on our website.

Why is the surface of my candle uneven?
While I smooth the surface of my candles after the wax has set, please allow for natural imperfections on the surface of the wax. They are minimal, if observable at all, and will 'melt away' upon burning your candle.

Why did my candle yellow?
There’s a vanillan content to some of the fragrance oils. If exposed to sunlight/daylight/fluorescent light, they can yellow over time. The vanillan content is stronger in some fragrance oils than in others, which is also why some will stay white while others turn yellow. Candles that turn yellow will still burn the same way. However, keeping candles out of direct sunlight may stop them from turning yellow.

Why is it important to trim the wicks?

Trimming the wicks is very important. Trimming the wicks will keep the candle burning without any black soot and it will give your candle a longer burn time.

How should I trim the wicks & how often?

The wicks should be trimmed to a 1/4 inch every time before you light your candle. You can use a scissors, nail clipper, or candle wick cutters. We do sell candle wick cutters on our website.

My home is a very open floor plan. Will one candle suffice?

Our scents aren't over powering, yet pleasantly scent an average size, single room. For open concept or larger rooms, more than one candle may be required.

How can I get the most burn time out of my Kindmoose Candles?

Upon first use, burn for at least two hours or until the entire surface has turned to liquid. Trim the wick to ¼” before each lighting. Burn for no more than 3-4 hours at a time.
